On November 9, 2024, Pasifika Communications partnered with the EU Delegation to organize the EU Walk for Climate Action, bringing together over 260 participants in a collective call for climate advocacy. The event aimed to raise awareness of climate change’s impact in the Pacific while fostering community engagement.
A well-coordinated approach ensured the walk’s success. Participants received T-shirts and tote bags reinforcing the event’s eco-conscious message. Partnerships with local businesses and service providers streamlined logistics, while Saint John Ambulance provided on-site medical support.
To maximize reach, Pasifika implemented a targeted media strategy. Influencers Shania Singh and Isikeli Savu amplified the message on social media, while radio promotions in English, iTaukei, and Hindi ensured broad public engagement. Live event coverage and social media updates generated significant traction, with over 17,000 people reached.
The EU Walk for Climate Action proved to be more than just a walk—it was a statement. By bringing together diverse voices in support of climate resilience, the event underscored the power of collective action in shaping a sustainable future for the Pacific.
