The European Union’s (EU) Pacific Take A Stand video competition was an exciting experience for our team. The competition was open to the citizens of 14 Pacific island countries, inviting video entries that addressed issues of climate change in each country. Providing the “hub” for the campaign, we designed and developed a website as well as a Facebook page to promote and manage the competition. The top 5 videos selected by a judging panel were put on the campaign’s Facebook Page where we also ran a ‘Facebook Favourite’ competition. The Facebook page garnered 8,068 Facebook likes within a short timeframe and reached 13,934,494 people throughout the Pacific Island region during the campaign.
