The Parties to the Nauru Agreement Office (PNAO) in Majuro, Marshall Islands, needed Pasifika to help create a substantial communication strategy to help the organisation communicate better with its diverse group of stakeholders. Membership in the PNAO is limited to ten Pacific Island governments, but stakeholders include the media, private industry, and the general public.
The vital importance of the tuna fishing industry to Pacific island countries underscored the value of a comprehensive communication plan that better served its members. The development of the communication strategy involved substantial consultation and approval from all its members.
Online Survey
Pasifika was also engaged to conduct an online survey in Majuro, Marshall Islands for a project based on various fishing industry topics.
The survey was designed to gather information from various stakeholders and provided both quantitative and qualitative questions to get respondents to respond to aspects of PNAO’s communication efforts. The results helped Pasifika design a plan for PNAO to better communicate its mandate and goals throughout the region.
