The low percentage of women voting and running for public office in the Solomon Islands was a concern. To highlight to women why they should run for office and why they should vote, a unique set of communication materials was produced by Pasifika. A 4-part half hour radio drama was written and produced, in both English and Solomon pidgin. To support the radio drama, we produced a colourful comic book, featuring the same characters and issues as the radio drama. These materials were released prior to the elections in both the Solomon Islands and Fiji.
